Proud Rooster Tony Walsh clocks up his 200th game for the Presidents
Records are for breaking, and Tony did exactly that when he played his 200th game for the Pressies at The Cage, Ian Galloway Park on Saturday 27 July, 2013. And those boots won't be hung up anytime soon because it seems that the Pressie tradition is to just keep on going. Not far behind Tony are other players who keep on playing. From the time records were kept in 1996, the team has had 20 players who have played over 100 games, 12 of whom are still playing, and six who have played over 150 games. What a team!
Tony, a winger, has played, coached and managed rugby all his life starting at Onslow RFC. At Onslow Tony played age grade and Reserve Grade rugby and then coached U18, U21 and Reserve Grade teams. He was also Club Captain and on the committee.
While Tony is a dedicated President he also works tirelessly for the club off the field and is currently the Chairman, Bar Manager, Licence Holder and Club Captain. Thank you so much Tony Walsh for your dedication to our great club. Tony is a valued Life Member.
